TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION

When planning a trip, nobody wants to think about the "what ifs", but things can go wrong – even when you’re on vacation. Flights can get canceled, luggage can get lost and injuries can occur. We recommend everyone purchase a Travel Insurance Policy to protect your vacation investment and assure you a great vacation. Whether it's your trip, your possessions, your luggage, or your health, travel insurance – and most important, the right kind of travel insurance – has become an essential item to pack for smart travelers. If you don't buy travel insurance – or the right kind – more than your trip could be ruined.

A Travel Insurance Policy is a quick and relatively inexpensive way to protect your family and your finances so you can enjoy your travels worry-free. Travel insurance is a type of insurance that covers the medical expenses and financial losses that could arise while you are traveling. It can be purchased for trips of any length and can be tailored to your specific needs.

Most Travel Insurance Policy Packages include:

  1. Trip Cancellation - Provides reimbursement for non-refundable trip payments and deposits if a trip is cancelled for a specific covered reason.

  2. Trip Interruption - Provides reimbursement for the unused, non-refundable portion of your trip and for the increased transportation costs it takes for you to return home or to continue your trip due to a covered reason.

  3. Missed Connection - Provides reimbursement for covered expenses resulting from a covered delay that causes you to miss your scheduled flight or cruise.

  4. Travel Delay - Provided reimbursement for additional meals, accommodations, and lost prepaid expenses if your travel is delayed for 6 or more consecutive hours.

  5. Emergency Medical and Dental Coverage

  6. Baggage Loss / Damage - Provides reimbursement if your luggage is lost, damaged or stolen while you are traveling.

  7. Baggage Delay - Provides reimbursement for reasonable clothing, toiletries and other essential items purchased during your trip if your luggage is delayed for at least 24 hours.

  8. Emergency Medical Transportation - Provides medically necessary transportation to the nearest appropriate facility. Also, reimburses the covered costs of your transportation back home.

  9. 24-hour Worldwide Assistance - In the event of a travel or medical emergency, multilingual representative offer round-the-clock assistance, arrangement of medical evacuations or repatriations, and pre-trip assistance.

A Travel Insurance Policy might seem like an extra cost you can forgo, especially at times when money is tight. But the benefits and coverage offered by a Travel Insurance Policy always outweigh its relative costs.

To make sure you're eligible for existing medical conditions coverage and supplier financial default protection, you must purchase your travel insurance within 14 days of making your original trip deposit unless otherwise specified in your particular plan. Coverage limits may vary based upon your chosen plan, however, you can still buy a policy up until the day before you leave on your trip.
